Dance for all ages
We offer a graded program from Preschool through Advanced, thus
enabling students to receive a solid technical foundation and a
pattern of growth that can be witnessed by observing others at our
annual dance recital. All of our students are invited to participate
in our dance recital to give him or her the opportunity to perform.
Opportunities
When you child reaches the age of 8 and has three years of dance
education, he or she can join the Kids Korps. This non-competition,
non-profit performing troupe dances year round and has performed
throughout the state of Wisconsin and has given performances in
Florida, California, Minnesota, and the cruise ship Carnival.
Monies they receive from their performances allow them to study
with top teachers by attending workshops and performances of other
companies to increase their dance education. The Kids Korps
is recognized and partially funded by the Wisconsin Arts Board.
As your child progresses, he or she will be encouraged to attend
dance workshops and seminars. These opportunities are offered so
that students can expand their knowledge with prominent teachers
in the United States as well as expose them to different styles
and techniques which they will need if they desire to pursue a performing
career.
If your child becomes very serious about teaching dance, our studio
offers your child a Teacher Training Program beginning as early
as age 10. This opportunity is given at the discretion of the teachers.
Our colleges to date offer Dance Majors, but no program for teaching
dance.
Our dance studio is continually incorporating new programs to project
the image of the art of dance and train the dancer. Recently we
offered a Student Choreography Program which enables gifted students
to showcase their work at our annual recital. Under supervision
they create, teach, and stage their own creations.
As you can see, Gayles Dance Studio is a progressive school
for the present and also for the future. We put great emphasis on
the quality of our dance education and the self-esteem of your child.
